Run Sopheak vit dans une petite communaut\u00e9 agricole au Cambodge. Son mari et elle travaillent sans rel\u00e2che pour subvenir aux besoins de leurs deux enfants. \u00c0 seulement 24 ans, Sopheak a du mal \u00e0 g\u00e9rer la vie avec sa jeune famille. Elle d\u00e9crit son mari comme \u00e9tant souvent n\u00e9gligent, d\u00e9daigneux et froid envers elle \u2013 il n\u2019\u00e9coute que rarement, voire jamais, ce qu\u2019elle a \u00e0 dire. Sopheak avait peu de perspectives en dehors du mariage. La pauvret\u00e9 et le d\u00e9sespoir l\u2019ont forc\u00e9e \u00e0 abandonner l\u2019\u00e9cole au 8\u00e8me<\/sup> grade.<\/p>

Lorsque le projet TOGETHER d\u2019ADRA a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 organiser des r\u00e9unions dans son village, elle a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 y assister.<\/p>

\u00ab Au cours des cinq derniers mois, j\u2019ai beaucoup appris sur la parentalit\u00e9, la communication et l\u2019\u00e9galit\u00e9 des droits. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des discussions de groupe et \u00e0 des ateliers sur la prise de d\u00e9cision, la n\u00e9gociation et la protection contre les abus, j\u2019ai acquis des connaissances pr\u00e9cieuses que j\u2019ai commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 partager avec mon mari. \u00bb<\/p>

Aujourd\u2019hui, leur relation est tr\u00e8s diff\u00e9rente de ce qu\u2019elle \u00e9tait auparavant. Le couple a appris \u00e0 mieux communiquer et \u00e0 s\u2019\u00e9couter mutuellement.
