Resilient Livelihood and Enhanced Food Security in Northern Dhading

Project Summary

The RELIEF (Resilient Livelihood and Enhanced Food Security in Northern Dhading) project, implemented by ADRA Nepal and PRAYAS Nepal with support from ADRA Canada, focuses on improving food security and climate resilience in two rural municipalities in Dhading, Nepal. The project targets marginalized and food-insecure communities, emphasizing sustainable agricultural practices, livelihood diversification, and women’s empowerment. Activities include climate field schools, improved farming and livestock practices, water infrastructure development, and community-based adaptation planning. With a gender-sensitive approach, the project seeks to enhance women’s participation in decision-making and promote equitable access to resources. RELIEF aims to build adaptive capacities, improve agricultural productivity, and strengthen market and financial linkages to ensure long-term resilience for vulnerable households.
