Public Engagement
In order to expand the impact of the project to as many people as possible, EMBRACE included
a public awareness and outreach campaign.
Volunteers formed groups to share EMBRACE’s key messages with surrounding communities
who were not involved. These groups were creative in their approach. From Clubs for the
Prevention of Teenage Pregnancies using drama and song in Rwanda, to volleyball leagues in
Cambodia, to radio broadcasts in Myanmar, to mobile theatres in the Philippines, to runs in
Canada, these groups enabled EMBRACE to broaden its reach significantly.
