Lebanon, already facing a crippling economic crisis, is now enduring further hardship as conflict escalates. More than 27,000 individuals have been displaced, with numbers continuing to grow as more people are forced to abandon their homes. The ongoing hostilities have resulted in 558 deaths and 1,835 injuries, exacerbating the nation’s already challenging situation

After conducting needs assessments, ADRA is moving into action, focusing on providing hot meals, water, fruits, and vegetables to displaced people. The most urgent needs include maintaining shelter facilities, addressing water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) issues, food security, cash assistance, psychological support, health services, and education for displaced children. ADRA Canada is partnering with the Canadian Foodgrains Bank (CFGB) to respond to the humanitarian crisis in Lebanon.

As the situation worsens, many fear further escalation, but ADRA remains committed to serving those affected. Donations to ADRA’s response efforts are encouraged to help secure the future of thousands in Lebanon.
