ADRA Canada’s Philanthropy & Marketing Director voted ADRA-I Vice President of Strategic Engagement & Growth.
[NEWCASTLE, Oct. 17, 2025]—Teresa Ferreira, who has served as both the Associate Director and more recently Director of ADRA Canada’s Philanthropy & Marketing (PhilM) department has recently been voted as the new Vice President of Strategic Engagement & Growth for ADRA International—the central hub of the Adventist Development & Relief Agency, headquartered in Silver Spring, MD, USA.
After months of discussion, deliberation, and serious consideration, the decision was finalized on October 12, 2025. For the remainder of this year, Teresa will gradually reduce her involvement in ADRA Canada and increase her work with ADRA International until the transition reaches completion in January of 2026. Her former department will be led by interim director Lyle Notice, who was recently brought on as the department’s Associate Director. The search for a new department director will be ongoing in the meantime until it is filled.
Teresa has made a name for herself as an extremely dynamic, determined, and enthusiastic leader. Under her guidance, the PhilM department strengthened relationships with donors, expanded ADRA’s visibility across Canada, and launched initiatives that inspired a more profound connection to ADRA’s mission of justice, compassion, and love.
“Teresa has been a highly valued member of the ADRA Canada team,” said Steve Matthews, Executive Director of ADRA Canada. “ADRA International’s decision to appoint her as Vice President of Strategic Engagement & Growth is a testament to the skill and professionalism that Teresa brings. While we are saddened to lose her as part of our team, I am glad she is filling a critical position for the ADRA network. I wish her all the best in this new endeavour and look forward to the many contributions she will bring to her new role.”
In her new role at ADRA International, Teresa will oversee global strategies for engagement and growth, uniting marketing, development, and strategic partnerships across the ADRA network, and strengthening ADRA’s mission worldwide.
The ADRA Canada team expresses its deepest gratitude for Teresa’s dedication, creativity, and faith-driven leadership. While her presence and partnership will be greatly missed, we are confident that her new role will further advance ADRA’s global commitment to serving humanity so all may live as God intended.
Congratulations, Teresa! Your ADRA Canada family celebrates this new chapter with pride and joy.
