ACS in Winnipeg

A Community Hub Creating Lasting Change

Adventist Community Services (ACS) Winnipeg is a growing community hub operated under ADRA Canada, in partnership with the Seventh-day Adventist Church and a network of local organizations. Located in the Elmwood neighbourhood, ACS exists to meet urgent needs today while building pathways to long-term stability, dignity, and well-being for individuals and families across Winnipeg.

Rooted in compassion, collaboration, and empowerment, ACS Winnipeg serves as a trusted, accessible space where community members can find practical support, connection, and hope — regardless of background or circumstance.

Meeting Urgent Needs and Building Long-Term Capacity

ACS Winnipeg currently supports 100–120 families every month through food distribution, emergency assistance, and seasonal programs, including school supply drives and Christmas hampers. These essential services address immediate food insecurity and financial pressure while maintaining dignity and respect for those served.

Beyond emergency relief, ACS is intentionally evolving into a multi-purpose community hub focused on long-term outcomes. Community consultations identified clear priorities, including job readiness, access to healthy food and cooking skills, and mental health and wellness supports services — especially for youth and families.
