Blue Nile Food Security Project
Project Summary
The Blue Nile Food Security Project (BFSP), implemented by ADRA Sudan and the Sudan Social Development Organization (SUDO), focuses on enhancing equitable and sustainable food and income security for vulnerable smallholder households impacted by Sudan’s civil war. Through initiatives such as farmer and pastoralist field schools, community action planning, and village savings and loan associations, the project promotes climate-resilient agricultural practices, strengthens local markets, and empowers women to participate in decision-making processes. By fostering gender equality, building community capacity, and enhancing access to inputs and markets, the project aims to improve resilience and livelihoods in the Blue Nile region.
