The HAIL Project has made significant progress in strengthening the resilience of communities in Loima Subcounty, Kenya. Key achievements include the implementation of climate-smart agricultural practices, such as drought-resistant crops and soil conservation techniques, which have improved food production and reduced vulnerability to climate shocks. The project also facilitated the establishment of community-based savings and loans groups to support financial inclusion and economic diversification. Additionally, HAIL has improved access to clean water through the construction and rehabilitation of water points, benefiting both humans and livestock. Despite challenges like harsh weather conditions and logistical difficulties in remote areas, the project adapted by enhancing community engagement and leveraging local knowledge. Overall, the HAIL Project has contributed to better food security, increased household incomes, and greater community resilience in Loima Subcounty.
